Winter is here and we’re in the thick of it. Many are experiencing the gloom and boredom that come with these colder temperatures and shorter days. Take control of your mood with the help of cannabis!
Recap: What are Cannabinoids?
The cannabis plant contains over one hundred different compounds known as cannabinoids. Cannabinoids refer to the active compounds that can be extracted from the cannabis/hemp plant. To date, there are at least 113 known cannabinoids, of which tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are the most famous. While the benefits of THC cannot be ignored, at Green Revolution, our products are formulated with specific ratios of hemp-derived CBD and other minor cannabinoids without the inclusion of THC. Each cannabinoid has its own unique properties and potential benefits. No doubt you’re familiar with the power couple CBD & THC, but there are some other cannabinoids that are gaining popularity as research into the plant expands.
What is CBG?
One minor cannabinoid that we’re particularly interested in is Cannabigerol (CBG). According to research, CBG can be potentially antiinflammatory, provide a sense of calm as well as enhance mood. Known fondly in the cannabis industry as “The Happy Cannabinoid”, CBG is popular with customers who need a little pick me up or mood boost during the day.
Where can I find CBG?
Strains and products containing CBG are hard to come by but are gaining popularity. For flower and preroll smokers, strains like “Where’s My Bike?” are typically high in CBG. If you lean more towards edibles or drinkables, Green Revolution has harnessed the power of this giggly cannabinoid into fast-acting, discreet and easy to consume infused products.
